Plate Racks have been essential kit in almost every Country Kitchen over the centuries, from large sculleries the size of ball rooms in  grand houses where huge plate racks stretched across a full wall securely storing prize china and porcelain  to those smaller character plate racks in cottages housing sturdy, comfy brown pottery. They are now every bit as essential in a Modern kitchen as they were then, and have proved to be an invaluable and useful aid not only in drying crockery in a natural and hygienic and " Green Friendly" way  but also in displaying large numbers of plates, side plates, bowls, mugs, teacups and saucers in an attractive, stylish piece of essential wall hanging kitchen furniture!

Plate Racks/Draining  Racks/Display Racks situated near a sink are usually made from either Pine or Beech with an oiled finish - but they can also be decorated or stained using  suitable products and of course are available in a variety of timbers.
We can make you a Plate Rack entirely to suit you and your families needs - in fact although we do have a standard size, as we make specifically to order we can adapt any design and style to suit you and your families requirements. We have successfully adapted our existing designs to fit in either a long narrow rectangular space, or made large enough to safely house a cherished dinner service!

party of 5 a  modern Plate Rack with bowl shelf and mug rail shown here in Oiled  Natural Pine. This plate rack was made specifically for a family of 5! Easily adapted to cater for larger/smaller families party of 5 was situated adjacent to the sink so that it provided not only decorative safe plate storage but a hygienic drying rack as well with the addition of a slatted shelf.
